What a surprise I got when picking up the latest copy of Backpass the magazine that takes you back to when football was football and not ruined by money and greed. On page 12 is the start of a 4 page article on one of York City's finest achievements namely the defeat of Manchester United. You get to read the thoughts of Steve Tutill, Andy McMillan, Tony Barras and Paul Baker on that glorious night at Old Trafford and the tense return leg at Bootham Crescent. Of course this article would not be complete without speaking to two goal hero Paul Barnes. There is also a where are they now sub section on all the players substitutes and Alan Little. Can you guess who now runs an apartment complex in Marbella, who is a driving instructor in Pocklington and who runs his own DJ business. Priced at £4.20 this excellent magazine is available in all good newsagents and some bad ones as well.
