The Cliffe Minstermen have a number of members who are Cliffe lads, that is to say born in Fulford or York but have lived in Cliffe most if not all their lives. 4 out of the 5 founding members fall into that category and the other one has married into a long established Cliffe family. As a group we have have a massive passion for York City but we also have a passion for our village and parish. Since the start of the Cliffe Minstermen we have been fully behind trying to support York City in any ways that we can. During the last meeting it was suggested that we do a community project in the village as well. I am pleased to say that everyone was in agreement. In the centre of our village is the crossroads. Just off that crossroads is our village bus stop. This bus stop is in really poor shape, and has not had anything done to it in well over 30 years. So the Cliffe Minstermen are going clean, repair, tidy and paint the bus stop to enhance the image of our village. Rumours of the bus been painted in City colours are greatly exaggerated, but to be fair that would be cool.
