The games are coming thick and fast at the business end of the season. Let's hope tonight goes the same way as our previous few games and we come away with those valuable 3 points to keep our platt off charge on track.
Chris Hargreaves brings his team to Bootham Crescent tonight and that got me thinking about his book.
Where's Your Caravan is one of the best football books that I have ever read. From his wild young days at Grimsby Town to hacking down an overgrown garden in his shorts this book is what real football and footballer is all about. It's down to earth and dirty and shows that life in the lower leagues may not be as glamorous as fans think. What makes the book for me is the honesty that comes across in the telling of his story. York City get a mention when Chris dabbed a couple in an FA cup match at the Crescent. Which I remember well. Our consolation goal being scored late on by Ray Warburton. Although this book has been out for a number of years it's still available in all good book shops and some bad ones as well.
Come On City!!!!
